Happy Holidays

Well it is two days before Christmas and I am sitting here watching my three boys shoot pucks around on the ice.  Every year I say I will be more organized than the years prior, however, I have decided this year it is just easier to accept the chaos of the season.  The kids are hyper with anticipation and simultaneously exhausted from the unevenness of their December schedule.  The streets and the stores are filled with an anxious feverish hustle and bustle…All in preparation for this one magical day… and on that day we will gather around the tree and table with all of the dysfunction that we can muster.  Our perfectly imperfect us will have each other to be grateful for in the joyfulness of the season.  And as I witness my youngest son body check his older brother into the boards I know that deep down underneath our holiday chaos is a connection of brotherhood and family that holds us together like a string of Christmas lights…each of us shining as brightly as we can.  Wishing you all find connection and chaos in your days ahead!  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!  DSC_0010
